Our Training Philosophy

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a hobby that demands attention. In order to be proficient, Jiu Jitsu takes dedicated practice that requires you to Just Show up. We know from experience that learning, training and competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu challenges the ego. To survive and thrive in the sport, you must Be Humble. Finally, every aspect of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is difficult. The sport takes time, patience, and perseverance which means you must Work Hard.

These three tenants – Just Show Up, Be Humble, and Work Hard – are the cornerstones of training at Team Chard BJJ.

While we train primarily in the sport of BJJ and have a rich history of competition , we periodically challenge ourselves with training in no-rules scenarios.

Due to the nature of our training and structure of our academy we only offer adult classes. Contact our Team Chard BJJ affiliates for training children and teens.
